About

Hi, I’m Dave. I run West Michigan Longarm Quilting in Grand Rapids, MI.

I’m a husband, a dad to two great kids, and a guy who found his way into quilting by helping out his mom. The first quilts I ever longarmed were hers, and what started as a way to help her out, quickly grew into something I couldn’t put down. Before I knew it, quilting had gone from a side project to a full-time business.

I used to be an educator, and that background taught me patience, attention to detail, and how to keep learning as I go. Now, I bring that same mindset to every quilt that comes across my machine. I believe quilts aren’t just fabric and thread—they’re memories, milestones, and hard work worth finishing right.

When I’m not quilting, I’m usually enjoying the great outdoors of Michigan, building something in my woodshop, or just keeping up with everyday life as a husband and dad.

At the end of the day, I treat every quilt like it’s one of my mom’s—something made with love that deserves to be finished with care. If you’ve got a quilt top waiting to be completed, I’d be honored to help you bring it across the finish line.
