I want your quilt to look the very best it can, and I’m sure you do too! To ensure that happens, PLEASE make sure you have taken the following steps before sending off your quilt.
- Backing and batting, if you are suppling your own, must be at least 8 inches longer and wider than your top. Even bigger is always great!
- Ensure your top and back are straight and square.
- Top and backing should be free of loose threads, and pressed. I can press your backing for $15.
- Ideally, your backing will be all one piece. If you have to piece your backing, it is always best to run the seams horizontally if possible.
- Please add a safety pin to the top of your top and back if it makes a difference.
- If you are dropping off your quilt at a store: PLEASE be sure to attach your name and “West Michigan Longarm Quilting” to your quilt to ensure it gets to me and not another longarmer by mistake!
